Answer the assessment questions to prepare an online manual for your work
area. The assessment will take about 10-20 minutes to complete, however, you
should only have to do it once.
Read the assessment information in the first two columns. If the statement applies to
you, use your mouse to click on the box in the third column. A checkmark should
appear in the box. Each assessment question that you select will add a web page
of associated information to your custom manual. You can edit your assessment
later, if necessary.
The first item, General Safety and Compliance Information for Everyone, applies to everyone.
This page will automatically be added to your custom virtual manual. The main
page links to subtopics, such as Accidents, Hazard Identification, Emergency Response, and others.
The rest of the items cover many of the specific hazards that may
be present in UNL work areas.
After you have answered all questions, click on the Submit button at the bottom
of the page. You will then be shown a preview of your custom virtual manual, and
asked to enter your name and email address to save your assessment. At any later
time, you can use the email address you supplied to access your custom virtual manual.
